I hope that by exchanging interests, insights, and all the feels, we can encourage each other to find our truths; to live what we love and follow our hearts to make ways for a more conscious, loving world.

Spotify Playlist: June Gloom

On the Pacific coast, May Gray and June Gloom are a real thing -on average, these two months are the cloudiest months of the year in sunny southern California. As much as it isn't the ultimate weather for surf days and summer vibes, it's a lovely time of the year, the "calm before the summer swelter."

Fun Fact: June Gloom occurs essentially because "the air starts to warm up in May, but the waters of the Pacific Ocean are still relatively cold. That causes condensation, which creates a marine layer — a thin layer of low-lying clouds over the ocean, which forms overnight and then creeps over the land during the morning" (1). Some years won't be as gloomy as can be because of El Nino and the drought (2).

Anyway, today I share with you my June Gloom playlist I made while pouring my morning tea, stretching, and writing next to the window that looks out into the white, vibrant skies. As always, it's a mix of genres from all over, but I hope it makes sense to you too or makes you feel something. It's meant to be a compilation of sounds for a gloomy mood, but still keeps somewhat of an upbeat, lively twist to it.

And as much as the gloomy weather may make you feel lethargic or even down, I invite you to embrace Mother Nature's flow and appreciate these times - finding gratitude for anything and everything. The sun will be out soon! Soak up the vibes now as it's not too hot, not too cold. As Buddhist Monk Ajahn Brahm puts it: want to be here, wherever here may be, and you will be free.

Happy days to all, sending love and all the vibes~ xx
